If music has an ambassador, Paul Parr is it. Born February l971 into a musical family, by the age of four, music had Paul in its grip, he started playing a little lap-top keyboard. By the time Paul reached the age of eight or nine he was playing the guitar. One day his Dad walked into the house and Paul was doing a flip off the top of the couch, a guitar in his hand and his face painted up like Kiss. It was at this time that his Dad said he knew Paul was going to make music and performing his lifetime passion. Paul's older brother took him to his first concert at the age of 12 or 13, and Paul says , " Man, as soon as the house lights went down and the stage lights went up--I pretty much knew at that point in time, that was what I wanted to do." After that he wrote his first song, a piano piece, about wanting to go into the music business and being a rock and roll star. Paul also started playing a snare drum in the sixth grade and continued playing the drums throughout high school in the school band. By the age of sixteen , Paul was playing with local bands in the Savannah area. Anything musical, Paul gravitated to. It was not until his early twenties that Paul got serious about any instrument and that was the guitar. He then began playing gigs in S. Georgia and Florida.

Early on, he went to Nashville to pursue his musical career and realized he needed to fine tune his product and himself , so he went home and worked towards that goal, his life's ambition, a career as a singer/songwriter. Paul Parr went back to Nashville in December of 2003 to record his first CD "Family Tree" at Sound Shop Studio, under the direction of the renowned and respected producer and engineer Mike Bradley. At that time, Bradley stated that Paul wrote the kind of songs that stay around a long time. The CD is comprised mainly of songs he wrote about his family and his own life. After recording this CD, Paul started his touring in the Southeast in Charleston, South Carolina. He released his first single "Sing Me to Sleep" off the CD at Clear Channel Radio Station WEZL 103.5 in Charleston, SC at that time. According to the radio station program director, Trey Cooler, it was the most requested new song in twelve years in their area. Trey Cooler also said "If I had to rate the album on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 9.9." Paul's music is everything from real soft lovey, dovey stuff to in your face, let's drink a beer, party and have a good time (music). Eddie of The Charleston Free Times wrote ,"All I can say is that if you like good country music with some doo wop and rock thrown in , you'll be just like me and this will be in your CD player for a long time."

Paul is still currently touring the Southeast in the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. Paul believes that you try and give back something to the community that supports you. He is already showing that his actions back up his words. Even with his hectic and demanding schedule touring and promoting his new CD "Family Tree," Paul took time out to do a benefit for the American Cancer Society and also to do one for MUSC Children's Hospital.

Paul has a rich baritone voice with a three and a half octave range that reaches the fullest low tones and into the upper register. He has wonderful expression in his singing and pours his heart into every song. Along with singing and songwriting, Paul Parr, is an accomplished guitarist both acoustic and electric. Also to his credit, he plays the drums, bass and piano (keyboard). Paul is an electrifying performer with energy that abounds. He also currently has a catalog of over 100 songs.

This 6'2" Savannah, Georgia native says he lives for creating an offering for happiness and healing through his songs. With over 16 years of professional experience, Paul Parr has the potential and heart burning desire to become one of the music industry's greatest entertainers.
