Songwriter, singer, pianoman, sculptor. Robert Attias was born at a young age and raised on a small farm in Brooklyn. His father, Dimitri, worked as a volunteer fisherman spending eight years developing a foolproof burglar alarm system, until someone stole it. His mother Candace worked in advertising and sales for a monthly magazine that targeted homeless people, called. "Better Crates and Cartons." Growing up in Brooklyn was challenging for young Robert. In his tough neighborhood, you didn't have neighbors, you had witnesses. If you put your hand in wet cement, you felt another hand. Robert once asked a cop how to get to the subway, the cop told him- he didn't know, no one ever made it that far. Robert's favorite toy was Mr. Potato Head. Of course, after it got run over by a lawn mower, he started calling it Mr. Hash Browns. He also wasn't very athletic as a child. He was the only kid in Little League who got traded. It is rumored he wore a cup to play Monopoly. Eventually Robert Attias matriculated to Benedict Arnold High (their mascot was the chameleon) before attending U.C.L.A.- in New York. (University of the Corner of Lexington Avenue.) While still in high school, he took the S.A.T. exam and on the day of the test he was so nervous that his hands started to shake and he accidentally put the answer to #12 in the #13 spot. From that point on, every one of his answers was wrong. His test scores were so low, he was offered a football scholarship. He chose music instead.
