Here's the anticipated debut CD from this Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition award winner and 2003 Kerrville NewFolk finalist! Includes the motorcycle anthem "Riding My Harley to Heaven", featured in the nationally broadcast TV motorcycling documentary "America's Passions".

You'll hear the influences of John Prine, Woody Guthrie, Steve Earle, Gram Parsons(The Byrds), Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett and other country/folk storytellers in Scott's music & lyrics.

Here's Scott's descriptions of the stories behind the songs:
THE LAST DINER: One of my favorite old diners was torn down and replaced by up-scale condominiums. This is progress?
THE HARDEST THING TO SAY: A tear-jerker dedicated to anyone ever touched by divorce.
WITHOUT YOU HERE: If Hank Williams, Sr. had played with the Byrds, this might have been the result.
THE SWEAT OF GENERATIONS: Eighty years and 4 generations worth of hard work thrown away to cut corporate expenses.
HICKORY WIND: Almost as good as the original Gram Parsons/ Emmylou Harris version.
SMALL TOWN BROKEN HEART: For everyone who has experienced the joys of love and the pain of heartbreak in a small town.
THE GAME OF LOVE: I wrote this one after reading Jack Kerouac's biography. Cupid's a cruel muse...
FOND OF OKLAHOMA: From a road trip along Route 66 through Oklahoma and childhood memories of blazing midwest summers.
BENEATH THAT TREE: To all the Depression era families who found triumph or tragedy on the road to California.
UNION MAID: Woody Guthrie's classic anthem in honor of union women & men everywhere.
RIDING MY HARLEY TO HEAVEN: I can't think of a finer way to make that final journey, can you?

Based in Centennial, Colorado, Scott is the cousin of the multi-talented Ezra Idlet of Grammy-nominated Trout Fishing In America. Ezra & partner Keith Grimwood, make musical guest appearances on the CD, as well as Emily Kaitz, Drew Pierce, Kelly Mulhollan, Donna Henschell, Ed Nicholson, Deedee Huntington, Tommy Ballew, Katie & Celeste Lee, Rick Tallman and poet John Buck.
