When people see Sarah Gautschi perform live for the first time their initial reaction is surprise... surprised first that she sounds better than she looks, that she's only seventeen, and that she's written most of her songs herself. Then, the best is yet to come. An anomaly among teenagers, Sarah has no desire to shock anyone with anything but her talent. She sings about love, loss, and disdain with a voice like liquid silver, enhanced with a turbo shot of blues, and frosted with melted caramel. When "Good Evening, Sacramento" on Channel 31 television saw her singing at a winery in El Dorado County, California and they asked to do a special segment on her. It wasn't until after they came to her house, interviewed and recorded her, that they found out she was only 16. Audiences were wisely advised, "Keep your eye on this girl. She's going places." And going places she is. Her first CD, "Light Up The NIght" with ten original songs by Sarah is selling well and she plans to begin work on another early next year.
