American themes, tributes to veterans and American values.
Selected as an 'Outstanding Military Site' by Military.com for 2001. Sam Logan is a Army veteran of the Cold War era and a retired Army civilian. He was born and raised in West Texas which accounts for the Americana themes. The song 'Buddy's Guitar' is based on the fact that Sam Logan owns Buddy Holly's first electric guitar which is on loan to the Buddy Holly Center, Lubbock, Texas. That guitar can be heard on that track. The album features vocals by Sam and also the great musical talents of Art Beverage, Springfield, VA, and John Sneed, Manassas, VA. Art and John do a lot of gigs in the Northern VA area. Art plays the keyboard and does song arrangements. Sneed is the guitarist. If you have heard Link Wray's "Jack the Ripper" you have heard John Sneed. Sam is the song writter with John his partner on tracks 2 through 8.
