Sometimes things just come full circle; where what was old is new again. Sometimes you have to travel the world to wind up pretty much where you started out. In the case of musicians Donna Rawlins, Scott Siedow, Neil Snider and Doug Wenger, the paths they traveled seemed destined to bring them together, even if it was somewhere farther down the road...to the music that is Rosemont Crossing. "Almost Live", a vibrant compilation of Americana: Folk-Rock, Grass Roots and Country. An absolute labor of love, "Almost Live" accomplished a near miracle: the eleven songs (nine original, 2 covers) were recorded in an astounding 5 days, deep in the beautiful green Hocking Hills of Ohio, the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The band's acoustic guitars and vocal stylings are reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, Nash &Young and The Eagles, but with the contemporary vibe of Nickel Creek. When these four musical entities came together, what they experienced and heard convinced them that their combined talents were energetically undeniable. All they needed was a name...since two of them live outside of Ohio, a name depicting their 'crossing paths' seemed appropriate. When they learned that there is a city called 'Rosemont' in Ohio, Wisconsin AND California, the name "Rosemont Crossing" easily adapted itself to this musical configuration of seasoned three-part harmonies and well executed guitars.
