Although Eason has been playing and singing for many years, it wasn't until she turned 40 that she began her writing career. "I decided that by that age, a woman should have something to say for herself." In the last five years, she has recorded two CDs of original music, and planning a third.

What type of music is it? Hard to really categorize. It is acoustic, folk, a little bluesy, and it leans a little country in places. The songs cover a lot of territory, from lost love, in Imperfectly, to philosophy - "I'll be in heaven Two Days Before I'm Dead," to cultural trends - "I'm not skinny, Anymore." There is a nod to mythology in Icarus, tenderness in Share Your Life, and love for children in Lullaby. Sample them all for a glimpse into the varied song styling Libby Eason brings to the table.
