June Carter would light up any room just by walking into it. She was one of those people who made you feel like you had known them your whole life. To June, unlike most stars of her stature, her audience was there to be entertained with the best she could give...and she never gave less than her best! This CD is proof positive that June gave her all every time she walked on stage. These recordings are gleaned from live performances on the Louisiana Hayride from 1960 to 1965. Her ability to touch your heart was something she was born with. You loved her from that first moment she made you laugh and you knew she was very special. June might have been underappreciated simply because she was so talented. She was a spokeperson for women's rights before it became a popular "in" thing. She was a big star before her marriage to Johnny Cash, at a time when country music was dominated by male stars. But her union with Johnny thrust her into an even brighter spotlight. I think June was happiest just being a mother, wife, and grandma. She always tried to make everyone else feel like they were the stars. Listen to this CD and you will feel as though June Carter Cash sang every one of these songs just for you, that she was your best friend! That would make her happy. She made us laugh. But when she died, it made me cry. Check out the artist's website: http://lullabycd.net Track List: 1. Comedy/Thirty Days June 4, 1960 2. Big Iron June 4, 1960 3. Elvis Story and Poem June 4, 1960 4.
