Paul Zollo of Acoustic Guitar magazine, states in his review that "Jeff Gold writes beautifully tender songs in a style he describes as 'urban folk,' rendered in a gentle voice and accompanied by his own easy-flowing, fluid acoustic guitar work." He's a native New Yorker who played for many years in New York and Los Angeles, where he has performed on bills with such artists as Suzanne Vega, The Roches, Dan Bern, and David Massengill.

For a few years he booked the talent at the legendary Gerde's Folk City in Greenwich Village, where he earned the distinction of being the guy to give Suzanne Vega her first gig. He is one of the producers of the Fast Folk CD series, and also has the honor of having his songs selected to be in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute. Jeff now lives in LA, and is the producer and host of the longest running public access music show on LA cable television, "Jeff Gold's Acoustic Café."
