Rhythm and Blues, Soul and Country presented with soulful vocals are the trademark of the musicianship of James Nelson.

Whether as a solo performer or band member he's performed from Louisiana to Washington State to Canada. Until his move to Austin he resided in Western New York where his credits include stints with Stony Creek, Next Exit and The Allnighters. Currently Jim's live work is focused on a simple idea: good songs played on one instrument and arranged to present a lively and entertaining experience and always done with Jim's natural easygoing manner full of sly wit and humor.

Jim's latest release follows two self-produced outings with his last band The Allnighters. The new release - The Night The Moon Fell On Louisiana shows his wit, humor and attention to the groove. The songs range from rocking blues influenced house burners to ballads to country odes to life well lived.
