THE PLAYERS Slim Roberts-Seasoned performer. Singer, Songwriter, Guitar and fiddle player. Played with Tex Ritter, Leon Payne, Johnny Bush, Daryl McCall, etc. Mark Chesnutt -Outstanding young singer from Beaumont, Has several gold and platinum albums on MCA and Decca Records. Rusty Lawrence - Great ballad singer from San Antonio. A quiet man who doesn't seek the limelight, but his singing can mesmerize you. Good musician on piano and guitar. Terrah Sloane - Originally from Kentucky, but lived in San Antonio when this recording was made. Strong vocalist and writer. George Chambers - All around great singer, picker, arranger and studio musician. Many musicians with major labels got their start with George. Kenny Dale - Great singer and writer who had several major hits in the 1970's on Capitol Records. Had a gold album in New Zealand. Kathi Timm - Relatively new to Texas music scene. Performed regularly with Arkey Blue and lived in Bandera. Willie Nelson joins her in recording the cut on this record. Arkey Blue - Legendary Cowboy singer and writer who owns the "Silver Dollar Bar" in Bandera and attracts fans from all over the world. Gabe Tucker - An 80 year old trumpet and bass player who still has the stuff. Played with Eddie Arnold, Red Foley, Curley Fox, and many other legendary performers. He managed Ernest Tubb, Justin Tubb, Tommy Overstreet, and others and worked for a time for Elvis Presley. Now lives in Houston. Augie Meyers - Another San Antonio product, Augie plays a mix of country, polkas, blues, conjunto and what he calls Westside music.
