sam stray, a native of brooklyn, new york grew up the 1950's and developed a love for music very early in life. groups such as the harptones, frankie lymon and the teenagers, the moonglows, the valentines, the solitaires, and the unforgettable elvis presley captivated his heart and inspired him to write his first song at the young age of thirteen. sam's passion for songwriting and performing continues to this day.
sam formed several groups in the mid fifties and ended up singing lead with the uniques. gone records released their recording of "i'm confessin'(that i love you)b/w a song sam wrote titled "i'm so unhappy" the uniques later became the four kings in 1963 and canadian records released "one night"(lead by wayne tevlin) b/w "two lonely lovers" under the super vision of the four seasons.
sam wrote and recorded in 1989 on sweetshoppe records a song he wrote called "doo-wops are forever" b/w "strangers" you can visit sam at www.samstray.com or the infamous website www.vegasdoowop.com.
