Andrea Lynn Cianflone is a lyric coloratura soprano spanning her repertoire from classical to gospel to jazz. She has produced many shows and performances including a production and performance at the Minnesota State Fair of the Habenera Remix. Some of her roles include “Laetitia†in Menotti's operetta The Old Maid and the Thief and the world premiere role of “Rachel†in the musical drama Neighbors based on the book by Burton Wolfe. Cianflone has also performed with the Sarasota Opera Company in Florida. Other performances include the MGM Grand and Club 7 in Las Vegas for the Media Artists Group Runway Show and The Nutcracker under the baton of Philip Brunelle (VocalEssence). Cianflone has many honors to her name including two Consecutive First Place Awards in the Thursday Musical Voice Competition, a finalist in the KDWB Twin Cities' Idol Contest, Pantene-Provoice Competition, Cub Foods Radio Contest, Schubert Club Voice Competition, a recipient of the National Choral Award and Triple AAA from her alma mater, and she was also named The Minnesota Music Educator's Association "Composer of the Yearâ€in 2004. In May of 2004, she auditioned for the R&B star Ton Loc and turned down the opportunity to star on the TV WB's Superstar USA as a classical singer in order to finish out her studies. Cianflone has worked with producers Nathan Carlton, Paul Marino of XeoJax Production Studios, and Stewart Keenan of the British Record Label Navigation Records. Cianflone is currently working on the development of OperaExotique, a performance company that focuses on bringing multicultural awareness through the use of opera, dance, and multimedia. Cianflone continues to defy genre-imposed boundaries, proving her ability in performing, composing, choreographing, and arranging popular music while maintaining the integrity of the classical voice.
