I began making up music and harmonizing with Daddy before I could open a car door. I had six piano lessons when I was 9 and have loved piano and other instruments ever since. At 16 a friend gave me a broken guitar. Not being able to take lessons I decided to figure how to make music with it on my own. I tuned it up in a way that I thought was harmonic and then began putting my fingers on the frets in various positions until I could sing songs I knew, while playing the guitar. Little did I know until I was in my 50's that I had taught myself a simple banjo tuning that has served me well to this day. Still, most of my creativity and self expression is with the piano. I practice using the KISS theory. K-eep I-t S-imple S-tupid ! This album is a lot about me actually. I have always been a "lone wolf" sort of person but not without a selective love for humanity, life, individuals and great respect for the woods, land, lakes and nature in general. It is not unusual to find me outside overlooking the river that runs through the middle of the land I pay taxes on, playing my saxophone or flute or some home made drums. The next day I might be doing some indian beading or making noodles. Every day however is begun with music, usually the piano. It is my hope that this CD will be used to soothe, inspire and even invigorate the tired soul, the weary spirit of the average person or maybe antsy children in the "time out place" at home or school, the elderly and shut-ins, or even just someone driving home after a long day of whatever. Each song is introduced by something out of nature, wolves, (some I have taped myself) crickets, thunder, etc. The "sounds" are on the uneven numbered tracks, the "songs" are on the even numbered tracks. Each CD has a nice insert and also a small booklet called "True Wolf Stories" my mother tells, and beautiful color pictures of wolves from the Wildlife Science Center near here. What really blew my mind was to find the funds and remarkable talent of Terry Nord & John Voit of Cedardale Recording Studio, that could put orchestration to my music in a manner I would like. That is an incredible treat for me now 65, having finally finished this first album of piano pieces. Faith Marie Check out the artist's website: http://www.looee.com Track List: 1. 1 2.
