Consisting of a collection of original songs that Amy has written over the years, "First Dance" has been described as "relaxing", "inspiring" and "triumphant". Of special note are the award-winning songs "I Believe" and "Capture the Dream" which took second and third place in a national songwriting contest. Although she didn't begin taking piano lessons until the age of 11, it didn't take long for Amy to win numerous contests and awards. Sometime during high school she realized that composing her own music was far more rewarding and challenging than playing other's works. After writing for several years, she was encouraged by family and friends to record and share her tremendous talent. Born and raised in Wisconsin, she still resides there with her husband, Edward, dogs Aussie and Brusco, and Chester the cat. Now planning to devote more time to composing and recording music, her next CD entitled "Close Your Eyes" will be released in early September 2003 under the name "Amy Lauren". A collection of original piano solo lullabies and relaxation music, it is sure to calm adult nerves and lull babies to sleep.
