All Genres > Classical > Contemporary > SERGIO IGOR CHNEE: Brazilian Contemporary Piano 2 - For Children This is the second Cd of the series "Brazilian Contemporary Piano". This album is dedicated to the children, but not for them to play. This are quite elaborated pieces for the children to listen and develop on them the love for classical music, for piano music,and for contemporary music itself. The Cd also honours the 60th. Anniversary of Almeida Prado, one of the most important Brazilian composers (a former student of Messiaen and Boulanger). It´s the first world recording of his important Kinderszenen cycle. Besides his ouvres, there is also a piece written especially for this disk by the important composer Edson Zampronha, a young artist already with an international career. The disk starts with some harmonized versions of German children melodies, some of them originally by Schubert, Weber, and Brahms, for instance, rearranged by Sergio Igor Chnee.
