Music was the first VOICE of motion pictures. Before the movies actually had sound, somebody in the orchestra pit played musical accompaniment to the moview on an organ or a piano. After movies began to speak, music became a vital part of the ENTERTAINMENT. We've chosen some music that played an important part in the beginnings of movie music, and we hope this live CD will trigger some memories within you that will take you back to the fun that movies bring to our lives. We thank Maureen Patton for asking us to present Music from the Movies in the glorious Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston, Texas.
