A daring first album, 'Shelter' is bare-bones. A live solo album without the audience. The bass in this intimate setting gives way to a massive range of emotion and style - from brooding classical to jazz with a thick, sticky swagger. Seven original compositions that draw inspiration from the sandbox where Bach and Mingus played together as kids. Prouty is currently located in Philadelphia, where he is applying the last of eighty-six ribbons required to wrap his second solo album, La Risa Fea.
