Adrian Carr is a composer, pianist, and visual artist. As a classical pianist, Carr made his Lincoln Center Debut in 1988. Since then, Carr has performed extensively around the NY metropolitan area. Although classically trained, his rock roots have never strayed very far. His music fuses this formidable classical technique with a modern rock style.

A graduate of the Juilliard School and Princeton University, Carr's premiere album, First Light, launched his original style of piano solos. Since that first album, Carr has matured and weaves a new fabric of sounds and images into Days of the Year. Throughout the album, the notes become storytellers, in a sense, and the music takes you on an incredible audible journey. Its appeal is immediate, and so is the new energy of the album - with the infusion of heavy metal saturating the strings of a grand piano. Carr derives his style from, and is influenced by, Keith Jarrett and Michael Nyman.

On March 9, 2004 Carr will perform Days of the Year in Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall. For more information about the show, go to www.carnegiehall.org.
