Influenced by musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, Chris Duarte, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, Coen Wolters is regarded as a "big tone" guitar player. With guitar playing often compared to a combination Jimi Hendrix-Albert King, this Dutchman is a real crowd-pleaser at any blues or blues/rock venue, always bringing the audience to their feet and bringing them closer to the stage with his mean, grooving and honest riffs and licks. Because of his unrestrained love of playing in front of a live audience, his performances are always high energy. His guitar style is unique and emotionally charged, spiced with just a touch of Texas.

Born in the early seventies, Coen didn't begin playing guitar until age 18, but within a couple of years he was performing in local bands. His skills advanced rapidly, seemingly compressing years into months.
The early part of his career consisted primarily of playing in rock bands, but by the age of 24 he decided he had to pursue a heartfelt longing to play blues based music.

Coen used to be the front man of his previous band "The Parish" for two years with whom he recorded his debut CD "Dance On The Moon", which reviewed rave reviews in the American Blues Magazines.
After Coen's successful tour in the USA in the summer of 1999, where he signed a record deal with Crying Tone Records, he went back to Holland and formed a new band.

Coen is backed by drummer Nico Groen, who had his share of success with the international touring Blues band "Flavium" and ace bass player Michel Mulder.

The band just finished their official debut CD that's scheduled to be released in 2004.

The Band's repertoire consists of many original tunes and covers, but their unique sound puts a new spin on cover songs.

In November 1997, Coen performed at the famous "Bluestock" Music Festival on Beale Street, Memphis, Tennessee, together with well known blues artists such as Smokin' Joe Kubeck, Big Bill Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters), Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and others.

Coen, as an individual performer, has also shared the stage with great artists such as The Hoax, Paul Orta, Uncle John Turner, Blinddog Smokin', Nuno Mindelis and legendary Dutch guitar player Eelco Gelling.
