This CD is a colaboration between my self, John Brewington- songwriter,Chris Sommerlatte the songster and Mark Hill who produced, arranged and furnished the intrumentals. Chris grew up in Gonzales and Austin Texas where he has been a figure on the music scene since he was 18. He is comfortable with country,rock, blues ,gospel, folk or pop.His music had a large,diverse influence such as Pete Seeger, Tom Waits, Neil Young,Willie Nelson. Johnny Cash, John Lennon,Paul Simon,Bob Dylan,Elvis,Billy Joel,Kris Kristopherson And Tommy Shannon. He is a deeply spiritural and when he sings the gospel songs on this album and you can just feel his emotions close to the surface. On all the songs, you can tell he is enjoying singing immensely and he seems intense and relaxed at the same time.He hasnt started touring again yet, but he plays around Austin in several clubs. Music is his ambrosia, his endorphins and his spiritural and physical high . Mark Hill , arranged and produced this CD , started it in Austin and finished it in L.A. after Mark relocated.
