Bill has played with, opened for and befriended musicians so notable they don't need last names: Townes, Wrecks, Lyle, Guy, Nanci, Shake & Dana, Keith & Ezra. His list of notables with last names is long. Thirty or so years ago, they said "your voice is good enough to sing opera", and Bill said, "but I don't want to sing opera. I want to sing my music." You know Bill, that's what he did. He wrote, he toured, he taught, he had the day jobs. Meanwhile his baby girl Colleen grew up and one day said, "Daddy make me a singer." Bill says he couldn't find a music partner so he had to grow his own. By the miracle of natural genetics, their voices blended perfectly. The power was doubled. It took three years to get ready for this album. There won't be another. Eighteen days after its release Colleen was killed in a car wreck January 1, 2003. We will miss her forever.
