There are no lies when Lonie Walker takes the stage-a performer pure in her emotions whose traveled and driven heart paints smiles on the tortured and draws tears from the coldest of eyes.

Don't look for a one word description of Lonie Walker's genre - she's strictly Lonie. Lonie calls it Acid Blues. If Acid Blues means a Rockin' Jazz Blues Up Down Soulful Sultry Lively Musical Journey, I'd say she's right.

Her performances are emotional journeys- driven by a relationship of intense interaction with the audience, she pushes herself to the breaking point of agony and ecstasy. An engaging performer with a husky voice, "Real fun music" says the orange neon in the window of her club, The Underground Wonder Bar, located at 10E Walton in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast. "Our music is eclectic," Walker says. "We're not strictly jazz, so we call it cabaret."

The launch of her new all original CD "Change Is Good" was a spectacular event
Tuesday, November 27th 2001 at Park West Theater in Chicago, the celebration of Lonie's 3rd CD and celebration of 12 years of Lonie Walker's Underground Wonder Bar. Featuring all original songs, the CD showcases her raw yet tender voice,
incredible musical range and pure passion. "My music is all about fusion, combining musical styles," says Walker. "The sky's the limit. I want to conquer ALL the music markets."

All her originals are rhythmic based, body movin' groove songs, with, of course, the ever tender belly side that warms your heart. Audiences love them!
Walker's previous albums, "All That I've Got I Gave to Music" and "Live In Paris" have received rave reviews nationally and internationally. "Change is Good" is Walker's first CD featuring all original songs.

Lonie Walker's first CD, "All That I've Got I Gave to Music," on Underground Wonder Music records--recorded live at Lonie Walker's Underground Wonder Bar--is a rolling celebration of joy and survival. As the sounds of her piano dance around the head, her voice scats, moans and wails straight through the heart and into the soul where laughter rushes to be heard and tender memories rise from the deep sleep.
