Growing up in the small town of Bethalto, IL, David knew that there was a call of God on his life at a very young age. At the death of his father, when David was only 17 years old, this call seemed to be strengthened. At age 20, he went away to Evangel College in Springfield, MO seeking a business degree. It was there, with encouragement from his friends, that he sang for the first time before an audience. He soon discovered a love for singing and writing his own music. Upon graduation, he played the drums and sang back-up in a Christian Rock Band called Silence. Soon after, he began to develop his vocal skills as a Praise & Worship leader.
