Plastnoist -The vild and warm experiense of the North Atlantic. Throw the crazyness of Leningrad Cowboys together with the sound of 70´es rock and hard rock and blues and punk and rap in a blender. And you get this wonderous Faroeese / Danish record with 12 very different songs. It is impossible to label the music of Plastnoist. There is a little of everything. But no matter which genre theese musicians threat, the main contens is rock, - mostly the harder kind. Even in songs as Spinn mær ein trá and Salome Where the Folktradition comes clearely through, there is a high volume. This is as well the case in Parabol part 2, which reminds me of Deep Purple in their prime. Visualized by the exelent Hammond threatment. Furthermore there are two strong "Blues" songs. Here it´s shown that the two brothers from the Faroe Islands with long and passionate guitarsoloes are very well playing. A little like Gary More When he rediscovered the Blues. But theese two Faroeese are sertenly playing far more dirty and with far more Soul. The lyrics are in part in Faroeese English, and a new language called Yrg. The roughness in the language does enhance the roughness in the music. The vocalist in Plastnoist sometimes sounds like Tom Waits after a rough and wet night on town. Track List: 1.
