The idea for Free Rein was born of necessity. We don't write just one kind of song. Some of our songs are happy, some are sad, some are about love, some are about hate, and some are just silly little ditties. More importantly, our songs seem to naturally fit into very different styles of music, and our songs change as we write and play them (depending on the phase of the moon). For instance, 'Can't Stop' was originally written as a rock tune, it became a ballad , but then it landed in a Bossa Nova style. Who knows what it will be tomorrow? What you'll hear on our latest CD is rock, country, jazz, folk and bluegrass. Needless to say, but we'll say it anyway, in such a creative environment, you gotta have guys around you who are equally into the evolving process of songwriting.
