It was completed just before the murder of singer, Mia Zapata. Enter: The Conquering Chicken is one of the most influential underground rock albums of the time. It has inspired artists like Joan Jett and Indigo Girls and Pearl Jam, Sleater Kinney, Le Tigre, Rancid and The Pinkos. This album is a fresh release of The Git's second full length release. Singer Mia Zapata was murdered during the original mixing. This edition is remixed by famed (Nirvana) producer Jack Endino and re-mastered by John Golden. This is a passionate, melodic album featuring a great punk band cut down in their prime. The Gits formed in 1986 in Yellow Springs Ohio and blossomed in Seattle until 1993. Mia Zapata was murdered in July of 1993. The killer was caught after a ten year man-hunt and is on trial in Seattle at the time of writing this bio.
