In Richie's new CD, "Live at the Charles" he has focused more on Blues. The CD was recorded at the Perth Blues Club on the 6th of July 2004. In his early years Richie would listen to old Blues records and one artist that stood out for him was Huddi Ledbetter (Leadbelly) so on his 3rd album, he has covered some of Leadbelly's songs as well as a Willie Dixon classic "Spoonful" and Leroy Carr's "How Long" to name a few. This is a change from his first two CD's because of its Blues content. Richie hopes it will bring good listening pleasure to Blues fans and he wishes all a happy life. Richie's passion for drum rhythm has inspired some original and passionate songwriting. His talent lies in taking the colourful history of percussion then striking it with his own signature. A strong vocal delivery that is fired by powerful lyrics and a restless spirit. Lyrics on guitar, people, events and spirit inspire Richie to write songs, different rhythm of your feet as you walk leads Richie back home with a song.
