Biography

REDWOOD was created by William Bragg.  William Bragg is a multi-instrumentalist professionally trained in guitar and voice, but can also play many multi-stringed intruments such as bass, mandolin and banjo.  Other self-taught instruments include piano and drums.

William has been playing and writing for fifteen years.  He has experience in rock bands, but also sang classical chamber music from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries all through high school.

Recently, William has gone it alone recording REDWOOD's debut release "Love&Obscenities".  One of William's favorite quotes is that you can't truly be in love until you've exchanged a few obscenities.  The record is a combination of his love for blues and pop music.  There is plenty of great voice and guitar, but a mix of synth, piano and digital effect is included as well.

William lives in the Bay Area where he teaches fifth grade.  Due to his hectic teaching schedule, touring is reserved for the summer and local shows can always be seen year round in the Bay Area of California.
