Do you play live?
MATT GALLIGAN play live constantly. Special moments happen every single night...the look in a kid's eye that the band is really connecting with, the feeling of accomplishing something on a good night, the realization that the band is meaning something to someone else besides just the band members. The band loves playing live and those are just a few of the reasons why.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes it possible for smaller bands to get a nationwide following. MP3 file sharing is the modern version of tape trading. The internet is forcing the record companies to change the way they do business and we feel that that's a good thing.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely. Anyone who's willing to spend some money and time in any sort of effort to make things happen for this band is worth a shot.
Band History:
MATT GALLIGAN and Band were formed in the fall of 2001 and immediately began the process of writing and rehearsing original material. The band is usually referred to as "a faster AC/DC," but influences such as the Stooges, Motorhead, Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls and the Ramones can be heard as well. The band focuses on live presentation, bringing a sense of urgency and unbelievable energy to each and every performance. The band's newest album, entitled REVELATION, was recorded by Jack Endino in February and is available now on via Boot To Head label.
